Description: the van will leave Tiber Campus at 8AM, we will be at Vela Sporting Club at 8.45AM, after a quick briefing we will start paddling up the stream towards the Oasis then guided visit to the Oasis on foot. Lunch around 1.30PM. Relaxing on the beach and possibility for anyone to do extra water activities. Return to Tiber Campus around 3PM or aperitif around 5PM, and return to Tiber Campus soon after.

The area of 280 ha, is the heart of the  Riserva Naturale Statale Litorale Romano, one of the most significant sites for the protection and preservation of the typical nature of coastline.

 

It's a set of various interesting environments: starting with the Macchia Mediterranea behind the dunes and by a Mediterranean forest of the most beautiful and preserved in the Lazio’s coasts.

In the areas close to the pond of Focene, residue of Maccarese pond, survives a valuable hydric wood, one of the largest among the coastal ones. The channels define the landscape of the reclamation.

Also present meadows and pine forests.
