Hiking Weekend Trip @ Patrignone Forest (Abruzzo)

Our accommodation will be a typical dairy farm of Abruzzo, where we will be guests of the Novelli family. They will teach us how to milk a cow, make cheese, make bread, and scavenge for wild herbs, chestnuts, and mushrooms.

We will eat the best food that the local culture has to offer. In fact, everything you will eat, from the bread to the meat, is proudly produced by the Novelli family farm.

The Enchanted Forest of Patrignone and the nearby forests, are part of a unique ecosystem that help to maintain the equilibrium of the environment in Abruzzo. The Forest of Partignone is essential for the life of rare and protected species, as well as mushrooms, wild herbs, chestnuts, the Eco-tourism, and the local culture.

-Hiking (medium level: 3hrs in the Foresta di Patrignone; high level: 5/6hrs in Monti della Laga and Parco del Gran Sasso). The hiking will take place even if it  rains therefore please bring proper attire: a raincoat and hiking shoes.
-Helpful and knowledgeable group leaders!

*If there is heavy rain, we will postpone the hiking and anticipate the indoor activities.
