Discover with us an Ancient Roman path!

In the Middle Ages, Via Francigena was the major pilgrimage route running from France to Rome and Apulia. The Via Francigena was not a single main road like a classical stone block Roman road but comprised several routes that developed over the centuries as trade and pilgrimage changed.

Today some pilgrims travel on foot, on horseback, or by bicycle on the Via Francigena. We will walk from Lago di Albano to Lago di Nemi, for a total distance of 7km passing through the “Parco Regionale dei Castelli Romani”.
