Hike with us on the most important canyon of central Italy!

Celano’s gorges are the deepest canyon of the Apenine, the Mountain Range that runs from the north to the south of Italy. Located in the heart of Parco Naturale Sirente Velino, the canyon has a depth of 250 meters (820 feet). After 1 hour of easy hiking between the grooves of beeches, we will get in the most beautiful part of the hike: we will start to walk on the riverbed walking over big blocks of stone and going inside the canyon. The wall of the mountain will shrink up to 3 meters.

We will get to the Fonte degli Innamorati where we will have our launch break and some free time. Coming back to the bus, we will have some free time in the old town of Celano to discover this beautiful village.

Meeting at Trastevere Station at 8.00 am, private coach bus to Celano (ca. 2 hours)

We will start to walk as soon as we get Celano.

We will arrive to the Fonte degli Innamorati and we will have a lunch break (packed lunch will be provided), we will walk back to the beautiful village of Celano and have some free time there.

We will take our private bus to be back in Rome around 6.00 pm.
