The Tuscia area occupies the northern part of Lazio and is the old name for the present day province of Viterbo. This magical and bucolic area will be our destination for the day.
Often called Park of Monsters, Bomarzo is a place that spreads magic and mistery all around. Strongly desired by PierFrancesco Orsini in the 16th century, the park remains a mirror of dreams and visions that never fade.
From afar, Civita di Bagnoregio appears as a hermitage suspended between heaven and earth. Nick-named "the town that is dying", due to the constant erosion of the tuff rocks where it is placed, the village rises in the province of Viterbo and was originally founded by Etruscans 2.500 years ago. Today only 12 inhabitants live in the citadel but Civita is still a beautiful example of an eternal past.
