We will start our adventure in the middle of the Lazio region from the idyllic and millennial medieval village of Calcata Vecchia. Then, we will descend through a volcanic area: the Treja valley. The gorge, carved by the river Treja, it is very close to the ancient, inactive, volcanic Sabatino (currently known as Lake Bracciano). Passing through this colorful valley, we will reach a second historic center, Mazzano Romano. Finally, we will head towards our final destination, the beautiful waterfalls of Monte Gelato. In the second part of this journey, we will go into the biggest adventure park in Lazio, the Treja Adventure. In this adventure park, you will have the opportunity to test your adventurer skills by facing many of the different trails offered by the facility.

Itinerary

8 AM: Departure from Tiber Campus

10 AM: Arrival at Calcata and hiking 

1 PM: Packed Lunch offered by Athletics

2 PM: Treja Adventure activities

4 PM: Departure to Rome

6 PM: Arrival

What to bring:

Hiking shoes, rain jacket, comfortable clothes for hike, back-pack, change of socks, water bottle, few snacks (if you need), camera!
