Join us for a performance of Tosca at Rome's Teatro dell'Opera, where the work had its world premier in 1900.  Brimming with passion, drama, and some of Giacomo Puccini's most sumptuous melodies, Tosca tells the tragic story of mercurial singer Floria Tosca, a woman who will go to any lengths to save the life of the man she loves.  The opera is set in three famous Roman venues (the Church of Sant'Andrea della Valle, Palazzo Farnese, and Castel Sant'Angelo), all of which are magnificently recreated onstage in this acclaimed and colorful production.

Included in the price of the ticket, JCU faculty member, Professor David Castronuovo, is offering an optional workshop to introduce you to the story and the music of this opera to assist the participants in understanding and appreciating this masterpiece. The workshop will take place on Nov. 7 at 6pm, more details will be provided to students when they sign up.
