Come join us for a special concert in a hidden location of Rome and feel aprt of the city in a unique way!
The Orchestra Barocca Furiosi Affetti will be performing a live concert that will consist of the flute being played in different minors and will be taken place in the beautiful and glorious Oratorio del Gonfalone Theatre.
The Oratorio del Gonfalone was first known to be the church of Santa Lucia in the 16th century. The term “gonfalone” means “banner/flag”.
This is important to know because back in the 14th century, the processions that had taken place throughout the city streets used to raise the Pope’s banner in order to reaffirm its sovereignty of Rome. The oratory is precious for the paintings that adorn it and which portray Stories of the Passion of Christ, a series of twelve frescoes by the main exponents of Roman Mannerism.
