| MIDTERM | Mid-term exam (10 questions including short and longer answers for a total of 100 points) is based on readings, lectures and on-site visits and will cover all topics up to that point. The exam includes short answers and short essays. Slides identification may be part of the exam. | 30 |
| FINAL | Final exam (10 questions including short and longer answers for a total of 100 points) is based on the work done throughout the semester. | 30 |
| TERM PAPER | Term Paper. Between 5 and 7 pages. Double space, font 12, normally formatted (1 inch all around). To be submitted in hard copy. Topic to be discussed with the instructor by week 3. Turn it in 10/20 at the beginning of class. | 30 |

ACADEMIC HONESTY
As stated in the university catalog, any student who commits an act of academic
dishonesty will receive a failing grade on the work in which the dishonesty occurred.
In addition, acts of academic dishonesty, irrespective of the weight of the assignment,
may result in the student receiving a failing grade in the course. Instances of
academic dishonesty will be reported to the Dean of Academic Affairs. A student
who is reported twice for academic dishonesty is subject to summary dismissal from
the University. In such a case, the Academic Council will then make a recommendation
to the President, who will make the final decision.
