GRADING POLICY
-ASSESSMENT METHODS:

| Mid-term Exam | 5 Questions. The exam includes short answers and short essays. | 40% |
| Final Exam | 2500-3000 words. Final exam is based on the work done and covered over the entire semester. The structure and form of the final exam is similar to mid-term. | 40% |
| Participation | Participation includes but is not limited to coming on time both in class and on-site, checking how to get on the site ahead of time, asking relevant questions which demonstrate knowledge of readings and in general interest in topic at hand. 20% of the final grade is a big portion of the grade. USE participation wisely, for example proposing individual projects to pump up your final grade. Remember that participation starts with a C. therefore it is up to you to make it to an A. Coming ot class on time does not increase your participation grade because coming to class on time is expected. | 20% |

ACADEMIC HONESTY
As stated in the university catalog, any student who commits an act of academic
dishonesty will receive a failing grade on the work in which the dishonesty occurred.
In addition, acts of academic dishonesty, irrespective of the weight of the assignment,
may result in the student receiving a failing grade in the course. Instances of
academic dishonesty will be reported to the Dean of Academic Affairs. A student
who is reported twice for academic dishonesty is subject to summary dismissal from
the University. In such a case, the Academic Council will then make a recommendation
to the President, who will make the final decision.
