SUMMARY OF COURSE CONTENT:

The course is designed to study in-depth the following grammar points: verb tenses in the indicative and subjunctive moods, sequence of tenses, relative pronouns, and the use of prepositions and conjunctions.  It concentrates on consolidating specific communicative tasks, including stating opinions and constructing hypotheses, in both speaking and writing.  Specialized vocabulary is expanded and appropriate variables in register are introduced in expository writing and conversation. The student will aim to reach a level B1 of the European framework for languages.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Reading, conversation and oral comprehension are the basic aims of this course, which is structured around contemporary texts, French TV programs, art, poetry and literature.

In this course, you will improve your French skills, adding to your previous work in the language.

The class will be conducted entirely (or almost entirely) in French as we develop all four skills of the language:  listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
The program will be following the DELF program and you will reach the level B1 of the European framework for Languages at the end of the course.
