2 take-home written compositions Compositions on topics given by the Instructor. NO late assignments (for each day of delay, 2 points will be taken off from the grade).10%

Final ExamCumulative exam aimed to assess all the language skills, as well as the grammar proficency. It will include: 1)oral exam 2) reading comprehension 3) listening comprehension 4) writing 20%
Class Participation / ATTENDANCEStudents are required to actively participate to class conversations and activities. PLEASE NOTE THAT I-PHONE AND COMPUTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN CLASS. STUDENTS WHO WILL DISREGARD THIS RULE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE CLASSROOM. Students are required to turn their homework each class (at the beginning). Any late submission will result in 2 pts taken off from this portion of your grade. More than 2 missed home-assignments (on the due date) will result in a 0 in this portion of your grade. If you should miss a class, please contact another student to find out what was covered that day so that you will be prepared for the next class.dPlease note that handouts wil be distributed IN CLASS, not deliver to students. Once again, it is your responsibility to make up with classmates what you missed. ATTENDANCE: students are allowed 2 absences. More than 2 absences will result in 2 point off from this portion of your grade for each extra absence. 10%

ACADEMIC HONESTY
As stated in the university catalog, any student who commits an act of academic dishonesty will receive a failing grade on the work in which the dishonesty occurred. In addition, acts of academic dishonesty, irrespective of the weight of the assignment, may result in the student receiving a failing grade in the course. Instances of academic dishonesty will be reported to the Dean of Academic Affairs. A student who is reported twice for academic dishonesty is subject to summary dismissal from the University. In such a case, the Academic Council will then make a recommendation to the President, who will make the final decision.
