Day Trip: Surfing in Ostia

Pre-departure mandatory meeting: Thursday, October 19th at 1:00 pm in F.G.3

Mandatory requirements:

• Students must be 18 years old or older to participate in the activity.

• An Athletics physical conducted by an Italian sport doctor is mandatory

• Participants on this trip must confirm their ability to swim without assistance

Last Day to register and pay: by Wednesday, September 13th.  

Last day to withdraw from activity and get your refund: by Wednesday, September 20th.   

Last day to complete the switch: by Wednesday, September 27th. 

No show/late Cancelation fee: € 80

IMPORTANT NOTICE: please keep in mind that all JCU Student Services sponsored trips and outdoor activities are subject to change according to conditions including, but not limited to, weather. 

 

Whether you are a pro surfer or live in Denali, you are welcome to join our surfing day! We will provide transportation from Rome to Ostia, the port city of ancient Rome, wetsuit, surfboard and a 101-surf class. Our chaperones will be available to assist and help you while learning how to surf.  

 

DAY TRIP SCHEDULE 

9:00 AM meeting at Porta S. Paolo Station (ca. 20 minutes).  Once arrived, there will be a Surfing 101 class, followed by free time to surf or relax on the beach.  A Packed lunch will be provided.  We will arrive back in Rome by train at around 5:00 PM.
